Summary:

The work began in the year of 1995, and consisted of the evaluation of nine wheat genotypes, which were released by UAAAN‑UL, in four locations of Mexico (UAAAAN‑UL in Torreón Coah., Los Mochis Sin., Irapuato Gto. and Navidad N.L.)
The complete randomized blocks design with four replicates for location, was used and only the variable yield was studied. After, data was analyzed by location and combined, three stability parameters models were applied: Eberhart and Russell, 1966; Perkins and Jink's, 1968 and Freeman and Perkins, 1971, in order to compare the classification of each wheat genotype. The general objectives of the present study were to compare the efficiency of the three stability parameters models and to know the degree of adaptation of the wheat genotypes to the environments studied.
Results indicated that the AN‑1461 line showed stable performance and high yield, therefore it can go further with the release process as a commercial variety. The AN‑V47‑114 genotype had good yield and adaptation to unfavorable conditions, besides, it was consistent, therefore it can be used in genetic programs which bred for adaptation to unfavorable environment. The line showed good yield in all location, so, it can be used in crossing program, in order to bred for getting stability. From the three stability parameters models studied, the Eberhart and Russell model was the most appropriate, based in the classification of the wheat genotypes.
