Summary:

A comparative economic analysis between artificial insemination and natural mating is described. The different production cycles, fertility rate, artificial insemination and farm size have been considered in the analysis. The variations in the results due to selling price, farm size, price for a semen dose, fertility and input of labour have been studied. In most cases the results show higher costs of artificial insemination versus natural mating.
