The objective of this paper is to estimate and to analyse the technical efficiency of a set of viticultural farms. The production units included in the study are located in the central and southern regions of Navarra.
In order to measure the technical efficiency we are going to estimate frontier production functions, both parametric and non parametric. Using both methods will let us compare the obtained results.
Likewise, the existing relationship between the efficiency and other relevant variables of the productive units such as the size, the factorial returns and the economic results are analysed. Finally, the efficiency is contrasted with unit costs.
