A selection scheme to improve reproductive traits in Rasa Aragonesa sheep breed is presented. Implementation of this scheme will be carried out by the producers cooperative CarneAragon S.C.L in conjuntion with technical support from regional (STA) and national (INIA) Agricultural Research Institutions. The selection scheme is based on records from commercial herds throught Al (artificial insemination) and BLUP animal model prediction s of genetics merits as selection criteria. A threshold model is assumed and compared to the use of a linear model. Genetic evaluations using linear models were found to produce similar ranking of animal as the are obtained throught non‑linear models.
