In this review, it is intended to give answer to some questions related to computing economic weights in animal breeding. Questions on the non linearity of economic weights, on the different interests of the customers of a genetic program, and on the way of calculating economic weights when the scenery is a national program or a competitive market in which several companies are concurrent, are discussed.
